Since its founding in 1976 by the company's former president, Hans Schneider, P. Eng., Industrial Technical Services Inc. (ITS) and its successor ITS Automation & Controls Inc. (ITS AC) have been focused on providing a full range of electrical consulting designing and automation services for the Engineered wood industry. Several of the major projects successfully carried out included those for industry manufacturing leaders such as Louisiana-Pacific Corp., Weyerhaeuser, Norbord Industries, Potlatch Co., Boise Cascade etc.
Having an in-depth knowledge of the manufacturing process and of every specific equipment , ITS Automation has also provided controls for almost every equipment manufacturer in the engineered wood industry: raw material handling, heat source, dryers, flakers, forming line, press, saw lines, material conveying, sorting and packaging etc.
Since 2005 ITS Automation & Controls Inc. has been also providing control design for tooling equipment in Aerospace Industries (Boeing Co., Spirit Aerospace).
